‘Throwback’ Repost #3: Prediction: Google Wave = The Future Of Collaboration!

Pretty incredible, huh?
To intentionally sound like a broken record, I predict that Google Wave will enhance and encourage creativity and collaboration across all avenues of society, and if embraced by the Music Industry, will usher in a new era of features plus larger, more involved and creative collaborative projects (i.e. better and more joint Albums).
Man, forget JUST the Music Industry, this could be revolutionary for both the Hip-Hop Community and Artists in general. (I’m looking at you, The Underground!)
With the kind of ease and accessibility Google is known for, more Artists will have the tools they need to effectively maintain projects with each other over vast distances, with less of a burden on administrators, managers & labels to expend time and resources to connect the dots for Artists.
I am very eagerly awaiting Google Wave’s release! I have a few ideas...

I saw that shit from the beginning. Did any of y'all honestly think this 'BEEF' was anything but marketing for Ross's album?
Y'all 50 versus Ross motherfuckers need to wake the fuck up.
Obviously 50 Cent knew that him beefing with Ross was gonna boost his album sales.
50 stay promoting Def Jam artists.
Have y'all already forgotten Kanye West versus 50 Cent?
I'm sorry, say whatever you want, but Kanye would not have moved as many units with that LP if he didn't have the controversy with Fif to sell records. I know at least 10 people personally who bought the Graduation CD in stores instead of downloading it specifically cuz they wanted 50 to lose, so you've already got factual, tangible proof of said concept.
The Graduation sold nearly three times as many units as 808 & Heartbreak. Where was the intense interest the second time around? Where was the motivational HATE to push people into record stores and CDs off the shelves? It's not like people weren't downloading 808 & Heartbreak, even if they were complaining about the Antares AutoTune.
Graduation Versus Curtis was the first time in SoundScan history that two different artists each sold over 600,000 records in one week.
Pretty nice for Def Jam and Interscope, huh? Seems like the Univers al ways aligns for their Records...
50 gets music fans off their asses and into record stores. Period.
Game proved it. Kanye West proved it. And now Rick Ross proved it.
50 Cent is probably the best thing to have ever happened to Rick Ross, Tia Kemp, and their careers. Everybody's making money.
Do you really think 50 could give a fuck how much money he makes off a record? That's peanuts compared to his endorsement deals alone.
Naw. Reality is, Fif is just plain lucrative for the music business.
And right now, the Rap Game is on some WWF shit.
"Rap is full of good guys. 50 Cent is the villain."
And guess what? A good hero is only as good as his villain. Dark Knight proved that.

*Well... maybe not Deeper Than Rap.... Just checked the numbers and it turns out it might not go Gold like his last effort. I suppose Fif was right when he said the publicity won’t help if people aren’t passionate about your music. Guess we can’t all be musically gifted Rapper/Producers like Kanye West.
